INTIMACY WITH GOD
The Bible teaches us that God desires to have an intimate relationship with every person. In fact, His desire was so great that He gave His only Son to restore the relationship that once destroyed. We believe that every follower of Christ Jesus should be seeking intimacy with God.This belief should cause us to create environments where that intimacy is taught, encouraged, and experienced. – Revelation 3:20; Revelation 21:1-4.
GREAT COMMISSION
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
CULTURAL RELEVANCE
Although the message of the Gospel will never change, our methodologies and strategies must always be fluid. In a rapidly changing culture, the church must always be willing to do whatever it takes to communicate the unchanging truth of the Gospel in a relevant and meaningful way. This must never be optional – 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
LIFESTYLE EVANGELISM
The first disciples shared their new found faith naturally. It was a way of life. Evangelism for them was the natural overflow of their intimate relationship with Jesus. Like the early believers, it should be natural for us to share Christ in every avenue of our lives. We must be active in developing redemptive relationships with friends and neighbors, bringing them ultimately to Jesus. – Luke 15; Luke 5:30-32, ; Matthew 18:10-14
DESIGN-BASE SERVICE
We believe that every Christian is gifted by God and called to serve. Therefore each should discover his or her gifts and abilities and use them in a meaningful place of service in the church and beyond. When people serve within their giftedness, they are energized and motivated by each opportunity, and the entire church benefits from their giftedness – 1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY
We are convinced that life change happens best in the context of the Christian community. The Christian life was never intended to be lived or experienced alone. From the beginning God said that it was not good for man to be alone. We will do everything we can to provide opportunities for people to experience the love, honesty, and sharing that only happens in authentic community. – Hebrews 10:19-25; Ephesians 4:1-6
