Introducing Nana Adu-Poku, Church Administrator & Leader, Christ Church International.

As you are introduced to Nana Adu-Poku, Church Administrator, President of Men’s Ministry and Young Adults Leader, at Christ Church International, you will be drawn to the glow of God which surrounds his spirit. As the Church Administrator, he impacts all aspects of the Church’s activities. As President of the Men’s Ministry, he influences shifts in behaviors and morals. As the Young Adults Leader, he is guiding
and shaping the thoughts and decisions affecting young lives. “I like to view myself as a change agent!”

Born in Ghana, Nana has been blessed to live, study, work and share the Word of God on 3 Continents, Africa, Europe, and North America. He earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science from The University of Ghana, his Master’s in Public Administration from The University of Ghana Business School, and his Master’s in Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. “Because human interaction and
connection are so important to me, I loved the smaller class environment which Franklin University offered. I was able to connect with classmates and professors on a deeper level.”

On the ‘business-side’—Nana is an expert at Information Systems and worked at Discover Card and subsequently at Genpact during the past 10 years, in the roles of an AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Investigator and Manager of Financial Crimes Practice, where he oversees teams of up to 17 Investigators. In 2022, Nana completed his certifications as a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist). On the ‘spiritual-side’—Nana is a Man of God who wakes up each morning and is grateful for the day. “I am surrounded by the Word of God Almighty and His light within.”

In 2008, Nana moved to the United States and within one year, he ‘met’ Pastor Samuel by chance, at a local printing shop. Nana was having a conversation with another patron in the shop and their initial conversation shifted to the topic of marriage. Pastor Samuel could not help but to interject with the Word of God and what the Bible teaches about marriage. “I knew immediately that he was a Pastor and asked him about his Church.” Eight years later, in 2017, Nana still remembered meeting Pastor Samuel and visited Christ Church International. After visiting 4 Sundays in a row, Nana was all in! “I was impressed by the Holy-Spirit filled Doctrine that was being taught from the pulpit and I knew this was the Church that I wanted to call home. ”Within a year, Nana was invited to join the Leadership Team because of his dedication, commitment, and drive. “Pastor Samuel’s confidence in me helped me personally, and I accepted more responsibility beyond the Church Administrator’s role.”

As a natural leader, Nana has served in Church Leadership roles for 10+ years, prior to joining the Christ Church International Leadership Team. He is adept at problem-solving and is passionate about equipping others, including young adults, to be independent and to be inspired to lead. “I am humbled when Pastor Samuel said, ‘I am so proud of you, Nana. May God’s blessings come and overflow on you and your family, as you continue to inspire us all.”

Nana Adu-Poku emulates a Leader and Man of God who will preach, teach, and evangelize The Word of God with the utmost truth, honor, and respect for God’s Word. The eternal living word is the source of Nana’s strength and one of his favorite scriptures is 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to make every grace overflow you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.”
